Daul: A Theatre Group is a non-profit organisation registered under the Societies Registration Act, 1860, Government of India. Established on 8 February 2006 in Santiniketan, West Bengal - a place deeply associated with the cultural and intellectual legacy of Nobel Laureate Rabindranath Tagore - Daul has been actively engaged in theatre and allied cultural practices for nearly two decades. The organisation is also affiliated with the Ministry of Culture, Government of India.

Building upon its sustained engagement with theatre, performance, and cultural discourse, Daul extended its activities into academic publishing to foster critical dialogue and interdisciplinary scholarship. In 2013, it launched Thespian Magazine (ISSN: 2321-4805). In 2015, the publication evolved from a magazine into an academic journal, expanding its scope beyond theatre to encompass the broader humanities, with particular emphasis on art, literature, culture, and interdisciplinary studies.
