With the present issue, Thespian steps into its fourteenth year, marked by the release of its twenty-sixth issue. Though it would be brought into public view in April 2026, this issue is retrospectively aligned with the preceding year, and is thus presented as a part of the 2025 publication cycle. Accordingly, it has been inscribed as Volume 13, Issue 26, bearing the imprint of the year 2025.
Over these years, Thespian has made itself available primarily to young researchers who have enriched it with their scholarly contributions, that, in turn, has helped Thespian to gain reputable recognition among readers and researchers with serious academic aspirations. The method of double-blind peer-review has also helped to add to the credibility of Thespian as a research journal. Despite its name, the journal has not remained confined to researches in and around drama/theatre but has increasingly forged ahead to accommodate interdisciplinary research contributions. With this intention in mind, the present issue, too, includes not only papers on drama and theatre but also on those areas like visual arts, media studies, literature and philosophical studies. The purpose has been to provide a wider space to academic exchanges in the contemporary socio-politico-cultural studies with which we engage today in our serious academic pursuits.
Thespian had already procured an ISSN accreditation earlier. Recently it has also acquired its unique identifier no. of DOI from Crossref and indexing of “ErithPlus” as well as the publisher portal access of “Web of Science”. These new acquisitions should add further to the academic credentials of Thespian.
We sincerely hope that Thespian would flourish in the future years and gain further recognition among scholars and readers of serious academic writing.
