Thespian has entered its 13th year with this 25th issue. Over these years, this journal has provided a platform for young researchers who, with their scholarly contributions, have helped Thespian to gain a degree of reputable recognition among readers and researchers with serious academic pursuits. The method of double-blind peer-review has also helped to add to the credibility of Thespian as a research journal. Despite its name and despite being steered by enthusiasts in the art of Thespis, the journal has not remained confined to researches in and around drama/theatre but has increasingly moved towards accommodating interdisciplinary research contributions. Keeping this intention in mind, this issue, too, includes not only papers on drama and theatre but also those on areas like visual arts, film appreciation, media studies and even creative writings. The purpose has been to provide a wider space to academic exchanges concerning the manifold socio-cultural articulations with which we engage in our everyday living.
Thespian had already procured an ISSN accreditation earlier. Recently it has also acquired its unique identify no. of DOI from Crossref and indexing of “ErithPlus” as well as the publisher portal access of “Web of Science”. These new acquisitions should add further to the credentials of Thespian.
May Thespian flourish through the future years and gain further recognition among scholars and readers of serious academic writing.
