                Subhajit Das is an Assistant Professor in the Department of English at Rani Dhanya Kumari College, Jiaganj, Murshidabad, West Bengal. His teaching and research interests include modern and contemporary literary theory, drama and performance studies, cultural studies, ecopoetry and Indian writing in English. He has published several research articles in peer-reviewed journals. Apart from his academic responsibilities, he actively participates in institutional development, extension activities and community engagement. As Programme Officer of the National Service Scheme (NSS), he has successfully organised numerous initiatives on environmental conservation, youth development, natural farming, public service and community outreach. His commitment to integrating academic knowledge with social responsibility reflects his belief in the transformative role of higher education. He regularly presents papers at national and international seminars and contributes to scholarly discussions on literature, culture and society. His works seek to bridge literary scholarship with contemporary socio-political concerns, highlighting the relevance of the humanities in addressing issues of democracy, sustainability and social justice.
