    Anwesha Maiti

     

    Anwesha Maiti is an assistant professor of English at St. Xavier’s University, Kolkata in the Centre for Language and Communication Studies. She is pursuing a PhD from Bankura University under the supervision of Dr. Aindrilla Guin, working on Indian feminist dystopian narratives in English. She has an MPhil in Translation Studies from University of Hyderabad, where she also obtained her MA in English from. Prior to that she completed her Bachelor’s degree with honours in English from the then DEOMEL at Visva Bharati. She has been teaching since 2019. Prior to joining St. Xavier’s University, she taught at IIIT Hyderabad, and at Debra Thana Sahid Kshudiram Smriti Mahavidyalaya (Autonomous) and Midnapore College (Autonomous). She has published articles in peer-reviewed journals on subjects such as translation studies, gender studies, children’s literature, speculative fiction etc.
