Dr. Debmalya Das is an assistant professor of English in Achhruram Memorial College, Jhalda (affiliated to Sidho-Kanho-Birsha University, Purulia). He has completed his Ph. D. on the broad area of "Tagore, Public Sphere and Cosmopolitanism" from the Department of English, Visva-Bharati. The area of his interests include Tagore Studies, Musicology, and Postcolonial Studies among others.
