Mayuri Bhakat

 

Mayuri Bhakat, an M.Phil. in English from Visva-Bharati, Santiniketan and has completed her Undergraduate and Postgraduate degrees from Visva-Bharati, Santiniketan. In her M. Phil research, she has dealt with the writings of Memsahibs in Colonial India. Besides, her interest lies in Women empowerment and Gender Studies, Psychoanalysis, Folklore, Dalit Writings, Memory Studies, Partition, Film Studies, Uncanny tales etc. She has also taught as a Guest Lecturer in English in some colleges in West Bengal.

Mayuri Bhakat has participated and presented in several National and International level Conferences/Workshops/Seminars. She has also completed short term courses to excel her knowledge in various domains of studies. Besides, she has keen interest in watching films and reading books along with writing reviews of the same.
