Reza Mohammad Arif
Reza Mohammad Arif (born 1978) is a Bangladeshi theatre practitioner, academic, and poet from the Kushtia District of Bangladesh. He is the son of Abul Hasnat Reza and Selina Mahmuda Reza. He is currently engaged in teaching at the Department of Drama and Dramatics, Jahangirnagar University, where he also completed his PhD. His doctoral thesis, titled "The Spiritual Essence of Bangla-Natya", reflects his deep engagement with the philosophical and spiritual dimensions of Bengali theatre.
Widely known in the theatre landscape of Bangladesh as Reza Arif, he founded the theatre group Arshinagar Dhaka in 2012. As a director, he has helmed several notable productions, including Rahu Chandaler Haar, Keramatamangal, Karbalar Jari, Swarnaboal, Desire Under the Elms, Se Raate Purnima Chhilo, Mother Courage and Her Children, Siddharth, The Alchemist, and The Threepenny Opera. In addition to his work in theatre direction and pedagogy, he also nurtures a keen interest in writing poetry.
