    C. Raveendran was the Professor and head of the Department of Modern Indian
    Languages and Literary Studies, University of Delhi. He has been associated with the
    modern theatre movement in Tamilnadu and since 1981 commenced lighting design for an
    extensive number of plays in Tamilnadu and in the major states of India.
